I have an 87 Firebird. It had the 305 and I swapped in at 350. I’m trying to get rid of as many wires as I can as I went carbonated and I’m no longer using the computer. So here’s my question. The alternator that was in it was a four pin alternator and the connection only has three wires so I’m thinking one of the pins in the alternator may not get used. I got a good price on another alternator that is black powder coated and is only a two pin. how can I get the factory connector on the wiring harness to work with the newer style two pin alternator? Factory alternator. Factory alternator connection port Connector from the wiring harness Another angle of the connector. New alternator mounted. New alternators connection.
I have included pictures to help.
