alternator buzzing

Recently I switched from an 86 108amp cs144 alternator to the cs144 140amp 90's impala alternator. Everything matched up good, thing is when I plug my connector in, the alternator buzzes. This is with the motor not running. Don't know if I need to rewire it or what. Anybody have any ideas? ken

Better test the 140A alternator's regulator.
