Defrost light comes on when brake is pressed.
I feel like I should know this but why does this happen? Everything in the rear hatch is connected as it should, i think, yet the light comes one every time I press the pedal.

That's actually pretty funny 
I'd pull up the defrost wiring diagram in the shop manual and think of ways that incorrect grounding could complete that circuit either forward or backwards.

I figured it out. Its been so long since I worked on this car i forgot BOTH hatch struts had wires connected and the passengerside one was hanging off. Problem solved, the problem was me.
