Speedo reads incorrectly, back lights not coming on in the cluster
Hey I’m getting to drive my dads Camaro for a while and I got a couple issues I want to address when I can.
its a 305 TPI iroc-z (1990) and it has a 3.73 rear end if I remember right and I need a speed sensor that’ll read it properly
and any guesses as to what could cause the back light being out

The light bulbs (194) are probably burnt out after 35 years...

The speedo gear on the VSS and the drive gear on the output shaft have tooth counts of 44 or 45 and 15 on the automatic models with stock third gen tire sizes and 3.73 gears. Pop the VSS out and start counting.

With the lack of Vss gears available, it would be easier to wire is a Dakota digital sgi-100bt
