hello.

anyone know the purpose of this? Is this factory (I don’t think it is personally) ? One wire goes into that 3 part connector on the left which then goes into the distributor. That wire with the clear insulation loops around and goes into the firewall behind the dash somewhere. And that red wire splits off into 2 small like 16awg eyelets at the end. The 2 eyelets are not connected to anything just loose in the back right of the engine bay. Any ideas?

The gray connector on the left is factory ignition coil. The plug and wires coming from it are aftermarket. I'd wager an IGN box like MSD or similar
