Gauge fuse blowing often?

Ok, recently, my gauge fuse has been blowing often. It did it once maybe a month- 1.5 months ago, and Saturday it did it twice in one night. I notice its usually when I hit a bump, but on most bumps its fine. All the gauges die, and the noise that sounds when you shut off the car and leave the lights on starts going and doesn't stop til I shut the lights off. Any ideas on whats causing this or some possible fixes? Thanks.

im having the same problem
mine would go out when i bumped the console, i think it had something to do with a loose wire from the cd player.
after i took it out, there is no power going to the gauge fuse.
there is another post on this on this board now. one guy replied about a relay or something by the steering column. i asked him some q's about it, and since all my interior is out right now i'll be looking for it tommorow.
if thats not it, then i dont know where esle to look now.
