Light Over My Heat/ac Controlls

I have a 1982 Pontiac Firebird SE. Last weekend the light over my heat and A/C controller went out. Does anyone know how I can get to the bulb? Your help is appreciated. Also, is there a fuse that operates my rear Defogger? Mine doesn't work, but the light indicator works.

Thanks in advance for your help.

The tiny bulb (can't recall the number) above the A/C controls is available from GM, and Pep Boys.

Check the wire connections @ the hatch lifts for the defroster & measure for 12 volts relative to ground @ the driver side wire with the engine on & the defroster switch on. If there is no power there, then the problem is upstream from there.

The 35 ampere power accy circuit breaker supplies power to the defroster & the 10 ampere gauges fuse supplies power to the electronics in the switch.

Thanks Tim. I'll check it out this weekend. Oh, by the way. How do I get to that tiny bulb?

Thanks!
