Cruise Control Switch Wiring

All the cruise schematics say there are 4 leads to the cruixe switch, but all the levers I can find only have a 3 conductor wire with them, usually with a flat connector with a slot and colors of orange, black and blue.
My car has factory cruise, and I could not find the connector to the lever, so I wired directly from the switch to the servo, so I have accelerate, that's all. I know where the module is, and I finally found a connector, but it is a 4 wire, pink;black, grey, grey/blackand dk blue. It is a 2 sided connector. Is there a special type cruise switch? All the ones I've found are out of sedans, not camaros.

hey, i can actually help you. I just installed all factory cruise components on my car and you're right, the column switch has four wires coming off of it, and the connector should come out at the floorboard near the firewall out of the steering column. There's a crapload of wires down there so you might have to move stuff out of the way. The connector you found with the four wires is the one that should be on your car. Hope this helps

figured it out, older levers are 3 wire, got one out of a S-10. everything great. turns out you fcan separate the end 1" of the lever, so you can change wiper type and wash levers, it is a glue joint that I successfully separated with needle nose pliers after popping off the set button.
