This is really really wierd!!!

I wired in some lighted switches for the #1 and #2 fans and ran the 12 volt lead to the free ignition slot on the fuse block. Everything goes good til I turn it off. When I turn and remove the key, the car keeps running til I turn off the #1 fan. What the heck is causing this? Is it a flaw in the engineering or a test for when your ignition fails? I moved my power for the switches to the empty slot that says radio. No problems there.

Did you wire them through a relay. If not then when you turn of the car the fans are acting like a generator and keep your car running.

I wired in the switches to the relays already there. So my switches just act like the ECM and the temp switch. It only happens when there is current being drawn from the IGN connector on the fuse block. If I unplug the lighted part of the switch, then the engine turns off. But, it will only happen if the primary (#1) fan is on. If the secondary (#2) fan is on, then the car just acts normal. Somehow, the primary fan is connected (or related to) the IGN connector on the fuse block.
