you will need a dual filament bulb like your brake lights Bulb 1157 or 1034 and a dual filament harness for each side, hook your turn signal feed wire into the bright side, and your other side to the constant ignition power.
Other than that you cannot do it because the signal wire always gets its feed from the turn signal switch, and the reason it works with the tail lights is the complicated wirirng that is run through the turnsignal switch and the brake lights.

First of all, the front turn-signal bulbs are dual-filament bulbs. Why do you think they're on when your lights are on, and get brighter when your turn signal is on?
And secondly, you can do it. Check out Willie's cars if you wan't proof. His DRL circuit was designed by Tim Burgess. Plus, they work like DRLs should, which is the bright filament is on during the day and flash on and off with a turn signal; and when the headlights are activated, the dim filaments come on with the brights flashing on turn signal.
Ask him nicely and maybe he'll post the schematics for it. He snail-mailed them to me, and I don't have a scanner, so that's why I can't just go ahead and post them here myself.
