Hey all, I've decided to part ways with my posi here. Very clean, very good shape. Accepts 28 spline axles and is a 3 series carrier. Will sell for $165 shipped, or reasonable offer.

Yes, its used. IIRC it has ~75k on it.

I need a posi, for my 84' trans am, you know if it'll fit in my rear end? its out of a v6 firebird...

IIRC= if i remember correctly.

This posi unit is for 28 spline axles, or in otherwords 1989+ rear ends. If you have an older rear (26 spline), you would have to swap to the stronger 28 spline axles. Everything else is straighforward, as long as you have 3 series gears, aka 3.23's or higher.

I am located in eastern NC, and don't feel bad as it took me awhile to learn all this rear-end mumbo jumbo too!
