Engine wanted in Florida
Engine wanted in Florida
I am looking for an engine/short block/long block in central Florida. I am looking for someones take-out engine that ran good but was replaced for something better. It MUST be a 5.7/350. NO 305's considered. I dont need your carb./EFI, or accessories. I need the block, rotating assembly and heads if you've got them. I am looking to spend $250 and under. Let me know what you've got and send pictures. Please reply be email to SBNova@Yahoo.com Thanks, Jim
Ive actually got a complete 400 sbc thats disassembled, a complete 305 thats disassembled, and a 350 4 bolt thats disassembled with a stuck lifter in one bore, and needs to go .030 over anyway. This engine would be to drop in my Vette, and run as-is for a little while, so I just want something complete that I dont need to tear down and rebuild right away. I guess maybe I should just yank the engine out of the Vette and rebuild it....
Thanks for the offer Mike. Hey, whats with the old(er) Camaro you've got now??? I thought you didnt want another project???

The twins came premature and one is about to come home and the other one will be there for a few more weeks. We put the house up for sale also so our plans drastically changed..
I am selling the silver T/A as I am going to start driving the truck and we are going to buy either a mini-van or suburban for my wife.
The camaro belonged to a friend of mine and I had been bugging him for a couple of years on selling it. The car was in hot rod magazine a few years back and was set up for drag racing. He had to get rid of it and sent me an email if I wanted to buy it. I wanted to build a street/strip car so at the great price he sold it to me for, I couldnt pass it up. Didnt really want a project but something about this car tells me to keep going with it...sort of like your Nova....this one is a keeper.
Motor and tranny are already built up and the car doesnt need much.. I am just redoing the body and interior. Going to NPD this weekend for the sheetmetal. I missed my 70 I had to sell years ago. My wife says to keep this one and it will keep me sane from the kids..
Now if we can just sell our house...
Stop by one day and I will show you the old jalopy.
