SBC SHORT BLOCK for lack of a better term...

This will make a great base for you next small block Chevy project.

-Chevy 010 block .030" over with billet 4 bolt main caps, ARP studded mains, torque plated, line honed, screens installed, clearanced for 3.8" crank, decked, etc
-Lunati race series 3.5" crankshaft
-New coated bearings
-6.25" Fluidampr for internal balance
-Cloyes Hex-adjust double roller timing chain
-Chrome timing cover
-Custom Schneider roller cam (630 lift,322/282@.050,112 LSA)
-Crower solid roller lifters
-New Comp pushrods (7.800")

Basically a killer short block minus rods and pistons for $1500. The crank alone cost that much.

Will separate valvetrain for $500, block for $500, and crank/damper for $750.

I also have a new MSD 85551 distributor with both style caps and an Eagle 435037506000 forged 383 crank cut 20/20 (stronger radius) for $250 each.

All items in 08080 South Jersey. Delivery and shipping available.

You'll have a real hard time blowing this up. It's a great base for any small block build.

Add it all up. It's a sweet deal. I just want to sell it soon!

to be a short block dont you need rods and pistons? otherwise you just have block and a crank...but anyways if you decide to split it up within the next week, let me know otherwise im just gonna take my block to the machine shop and get it done.

I was going to call it "extra" short block, but that would probably confuse people. So I just called it a short block and said what it was missing compared to a normal short block. I consider this a short block because all these components were originally together in this block and it comes with much more than just a crank and block.

Probably not going to part out, but I'll keep it in mind.

The Eagle is still $250. The Lunati goes with the short block.

Hey John,

Left you a message on your cell phone, and e-mailed you about the crank?

Because its like wheeslup84z said earlier, you dont have a short block, you have some parts that i tried to buy but you dont want to sell them.

What happened to the original pistons and rods anyway that were in that block?

Part the stuff out and be done with it.

It's closer to a short block than anything else. The original pistons and rods were sold because I planned to get different ones to better suit my heads.

I sent you an email yesterday saying I would let you have that crank that you seemed to want so badly for a steal. I guess you didn't get it. I changed the description to reflect that as well.

The crank and damper are no longer available. I'll part out this stuff or sell what's left for 1000.

BE CAREFULL OF THIS GUY AND WHAT YOU BUY FROM HIM!

I bought the crank, and after finding a problem with it here was the responce from John.

I saw no problems and did look it over well. After paying, the crank is yours and whatever may have gone unnoticed by my naked eye or occurred in shipping or by you for that matter has nothing to do with me. What I wrote and what I believe is still an accurate description: "If it passed inspection and was professionally built in a motor, I seriously doubt there are any issues with it now." I'm not a crank inspecting machine by any means, however, it was described to the best of my knowledge meaning I saw nothing wrong and therefore meaning something could have occurred in shipping, while doubtful, or you could have inadvertantly hurt it yourself for all I know. If you want to ship the crank back, I will return you $450 which is more than I was left with after shipping and paypal costs. That is the fairest thing I can do as I see no reason to lose an inordinate amount just to be a nice guy. Otherwise, I can only recommend you keep it and build a quick motor with it. I try to be an affable fellow and always describe parts to the best of my knowledge Dave. I'm here to sell unneeded parts to fund my drag car, not to rip you off. Do not interpret that there was any warranty associated with your purchase, written or implied, however.

"...I am offering this to you to make you a happy customer. Thank you,

John"

Thought I'd finish it off for you. I don't think I'm being unfair by any means.
