4 BOLT ROLLER BLOCK NEEDS TO BE WELDED UP WHERE IT WAS CLEARENCED INTO THE WATER JACKET MACHINE SHOP SAID IT COULD BE DONE BY A PROFESSIONAL BLOCK WELDER, TOO MUCH WORK FOR ME.

no the engine was assembled and ran for very few miles before i got ahold of it not sure if the rods are bushed or pinned, but the guy who built this motor did not really spare the money. i got a new one for christmas from the wife so i am dumping my extra parts pistons are .40 i believe (sorry parts are in my garage and i am at work). like i said block would need work and is starting to rust from sitting out is a 4 bolt roller block though. call ifyou need to

part # on pistons and crank.

 

I CANNNOT FIND ANY ACTUALL PART NUMBERS. THE CRANK HAS SCAT CAST INTO THE FRONT COUNTER WEIGHT. THE SET-UP WAS BALANCED SO THERE WAS SOME MALLORY ADDED AND SOME REMOVED MAYBE THAT IS WHERE THE PART NUMBERS WERE? THERE IS A 53 ON TWO OF THE COUNTERWEIGHTS. THE RODS HAVE NO PART#'S EITHER THE MACHINE SHOP CONFIRMED THAT THEY WERE MANLEY RODS AND THEY DO HAVE ARP ROD BOLTS IN THEM. THE PISTONS ONLY HAVE .030 IN THE INSIDE OF THE PIRTON AND KB(KIETH BLACK) ON ONE SIDE OF THE PIN HOLE AND SL (SILVOLITE) ON THE OTHER, HOPE THIS HELPS. GIVE ME A CALL IF YOU NEED OR HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON THESE PARTS.

this sounds like the same speed-o-motive stroker kit i originally purchased, unmarked rods which turned out to be 5140 not 4340 and a a cheap immitation of a "scat" crank. with the KB pistons. it was on clearance for 500 bucks. I have a question, if theres no markings or part numbers how can you tell what brand the rod is, its almost impossible i would think

 

WHILE I CAN NOT BE POSATIVE ABOUT THE PARTS CAUSE I DID NOT ACTUALLY PURCHASE THEM, I FEEL CONFIDENT ABOUT THE MACHINE SHOP THAT I TOOK THEM TO, THE CRANK IS THE CHEAP SCAT CRANK IT IS NOT THEIR FORGED ONE IT IS THERE CAST CRANK THE PISTONS ARE KB'S ABOUT THE RODS THE GUY THAT I BOUGHT THE PARTS FROM TOLD ME THEY WERE MANLEY'S AND THE MACHINE SHOP BELIEVES THEY ARE AS WELL HE SPECIALIZES IN BUILDING DRAG MOTORS AND ROUNDY ROUND MOTORS SO I BELIEVE HIM FOR NOW. THE REASON I AM GETTING RID OF THE PARTS, IS CAUSE THE BLOCK IS THIN WERE THEY CLEARENCED IT, AND I WILL NEVER PASS SMOG IN CALIFORNIA ANYWAY. PLUS A BRAND NEW GM 350 SHORTBLOCK IS ONLY $1100 DELIVERED. I AM JUST TRYING TO GET RID OF THE PARTS TO THIRDGEN GUYS AT A FAIR PRICE (I HOPE) THANKS

I think Im gonna have to pass on this. If you had solid part #'s so I could see what it was. The Pistons should have some kinda #'s on em or something to designate if they are Hypers or Forged.

well, as you can see SCAT is cast into the crank and you can see the KB "SL" (silv-o-lite) on the pistons, those rods could be anything but if everything else is legit i wouldnt doubt that being manley rods
