this engine is the ls2 version that were in the trucks, out of a 01 hd,6.0 liter 364 ci,4 bolt main with iron block and aluminum heads, stock hp is 300-325 and stock torque 360-375.all ls1,ls2 and ls6 work with this engine.
----------
if interested pics upon request, crosshatch pattern can still be seen in the cylinders, heads are off right now.

The engine you have is not a LS2 it is a LQ4 or LQ9 depending on what it came out of. The LS2 engine is found in GTOs and they are not iron. I have the same engine you are talking about. This engine is a great alternative to a LS1 just a little heavier.

no.
i think you missed the point.

thats not a LS2.... its a ironblock truck genIII...... if it was totally assembled with intake, minus accessories, then 1200 would be a good deal.

right now, you're looking at a 600 to 800 dollar shortblock, with a set of $200 heads sitting next to it.
