2.5L Ironduke & Auto Transmission
I have a 2.5L "Ironduke" for sale, it is out of a 1984 Camaro and comes complete with all accessories including a new starter and wiring harness/ecm. The engine just had a tune up had new cap/rotor/wires/plugs installed and recently had an oil change, it runs great and starts right up every time, no smoke or knocks. Asking 500 obo
Then I also have the transmission that was behind it, I believe it is a 200R4? not really sure, the transmission shifts great, no slips or anything, just had the fluid changed and new filter installed. Asking 200 obo
They are both still in the car and can be heard running or can go for a ride if you would like lol.
Everything is located in Jerome,MI 49249. Prefer pickup but would be able to ship at buyers expense.
Don't be afraid to make offers

Probably a stupid question but whats wrong with the body of the car itself, in the event that you might be interested in selling the whole car complete/driving?

The body of the car is crap, rusted out/dented, holes everywhere and the brakes are shot, the car is already stripped and the engine will probably be pulled within the next day or two, all of the wiring is still hooked up to the engine so if some one wanted to drop it in all they would have to do is feed the wires back into the interior and plug the ecm back in and it is ready to get some good MPG

Re: 2.5L Ironduke & Auto Transmission
I still can't believe that GM actually thought it was a good idea to put a 2.5L 4 cylinder engine in these cars...
I seriously doubt that you will find a Camaro/Firebird owner that would be willing to pull out a blown 2.5L and replace it with another...
But maybe someone could be looking to replace a blown engine in their S10 or Cavalier...
Good luck with the sale.

Re: 2.5L Ironduke & Auto Transmission
There is no doubt about the Iron Duke's reputation for reliability... I had one in my old 1990 S10 pickup.... it might not have been the most powerful thing on the block but it would fire up first click of the key, everytime... the truck body rusted out around the 2.5L... I sold the truck and the engine is still running as far as I know... must be well over 250,000 miles on that engine by now...
