SLP Firehawk T-Ram

I have an SLP T-Ram for sale. For those of you that don’t know, these came is the 91-92 Firehawks. This is a very rare intake, only 25 Firehawks were built with them installed, and then about 200 were sold though summit. The rumor is that the plant that made these had a fire and the molds were destroyed. Attached is the original ad in summit along with a ton of pictures. This intake is supposed to give 50 hp over stock, and that’s on the stock motor. Power curve runs from 1500 rpm to 6500 rpm. Stock tpi goes to 4500 rpm. It was also designed for later tpi models but can be made to fit earlier ones.

I hate to get rid of this thing, I had planned to use it, but now one of my heads is cracked, so I need the money. The intake is in great shape and the gaskets couldn’t be better. It was used before I bought it, not since, but the inside is really clean, so it couldn’t have been used for long.

I will ship but buyer will pay for it, and it probably wouldn’t be cheap, this thing is pretty heavy. I also take paypal, but the buyer would also have to cover fees. Pickup would be the best way, I am also willing to meet you at a reasonable distance for some gas money too. Oh and if you think this is expensive, search T-Ram on ebay, and one is for sale for 2,500!

Asking $1,700

Re: SLP Firehawk T-Ram

Thanks BrOdBaNd!
As far as trades go, it depends on what you have. Im selling this so that I can afford my LT1 intake and head swap. I hadn't planned to do this, but my stock heads have a crack, so they need to go. If you have any parts for the heads, I would be willing to trade, something like roller rockers springs etc. I need a 58mm TB. I also am looking for some adjustable lower control arms. i would also probably take an ss hood too. If you have any other goodies, let me know, but I think thats it. Thanks

Re: SLP Firehawk T-Ram

I do have the throttle cable bracket, but no fuel lines. This is how I bought the intake, I never had it in my car. Although I do have the pics of it in my car......but notice the lack of heads...lol

Re: SLP Firehawk T-Ram

It all depends on what heads you have. If they are centerbolt, it will fit withoug a problem. With earlier style heads, the center 4 holes are different, they have a different angle. Take a look at the Edelbrock intake I have for sale, notice how the inside holes have 2 different slots in it, thats so it will fit all years of TPI. For the T-Ram to fit, you would have to make those center holes like the ones on the edelbrock. Doesnt seem to be too difficult.

I already have a set of stock lt1 heads that I plan to have ported, polished, valve job, etc. I probably wouldnt be interested unless they were real nice. Thanks

Re: SLP Firehawk T-Ram

um please dont take this insultingly but you know the coolant passages are different? u have to do alot of welding and machining and for the money spent u could just buy traditional aluminum heads that work just as good if not better...

Re: SLP Firehawk T-Ram

Yes, i know about the coolant passages. As for the cost, I will be taking them to a guy that does all the work in his garage, so it wont be bad. But anyways, I cant do all the stuff I want untill I sell this.
