Did you notice any difference when this was on the car?

 

It would be minuscule if any. Nothing that can be felt. Allows what they say to be 15% more airflow to flow by the injectors.

how far are you from Los Angeles and did you have to get a aftermarket hood or no

 

i am about 25-35 min from LA depending on traffic.
has no effect on hood clearance.
makes a tiny difference, of you really know the feel of your engine, you will notice. Makes the intake sound cooler in my opinion.
2 gaskets are recommended when installing.
I ended up with two injector spacers, I am keeping one on my engine, I like it.
