I'm cleaning out my garage of parts. Need to get rid of EVERYTHING listed.
Make an offer on something you think you need and I will make my considerations.

-Air Duct for 85-88 IROC (duct between TB and MAF sensor) - **SOLD**

-Distributor Cap & Coil (large cap with coil in cap)
-Distributor Cap & Rotor (brand new in box, coil in cap)
-Single Cooling Fan with all brackets
-Radiator (untested for leaks, can do that for you if wanted)
-2 sets of ignition wires for sbc
-10 Bolt 7.625 inch Open differential from my 1992 Camaro RS with 2.73 ring&pinion included 118,000 miles on gears and diff
-March Power Pulley set with belt - **SOLD**
-1985 IROC rear seat bottoms, Black with Red piping (bottoms only unfortunately)
-Water Pump with pulleys, cast iron
-14 inch Chevrolet open element air filter for Carb or TBI - Pay Shipping Only
-Stock black valve covers off of 305 TBI

The stock intake base listed has been completely cleaned and bead blasted and is like new! Absolutely no carbon build up left on or in it.

The ported and modified to Vortec intake base is cleaned but will probably get blasted and would look much better with a paint job due to some of the mods on it. I did not do the mods but can tell you as much about it as the guy who I bought it from. Just ask and I'll give you some info and pictures.

I can supply pictures for anything listed at request. I'd put them up here but there's too many pictures to post.

I also have a set of 1985 runners, Plenum and Throttle body but am in the middle of refurbishing and removing dents from the runners. They came off of the stock base listed above. I'd be willing to part with them as I do not need them but like I said they are in the middle of being refurbished, cleaned and polished.

Details on the march power pulleys please? Do you know the part number or what years they fit?

The part number is 04000 and they are for Camaros and Firebirds 88-92. These were on my car when I bought it and I removed them to put the stock pulleys back on. No reason for it, nothing wrong with this set at all besides they could use a repaint but don't really need it. Let me know if you want them. Definite seat of the pants difference. I know my car is definitely slower when I took them off.

Did the alternator charge at idle or would it drop off?

It charged at idle but you could see voltage dip and come back with your turn signal blinking at a stop light. Never really noticed any detrimental voltage loss. You could probably even use the crank pulley in this kit with your stock alternator pulley and possibly alleviate that problem and would still gain some power from accessory drag loss but never tried it.

30 bucks shipped fair enough?

As I had said, they are in the middle of refinishing so they're clean, ALL carbon has been removed, but not yet finished to where I'd like them to be besides the base manifold, it is done. But would part with them if someone wants them since I really do not need them just wanted to make a nice set of parts for others to have.

and a few more pics. The plenum has been hand ported at the TB openings to 58mm. I bought it that way so it was not ported by me. Decent job was done but could be rounded out slightly better.

How much for the plenum, runners, TB, and ported base? Or even individual prices. I'm just south of medina so I could pick up.

$60 for the base ($80 if you want it blasted and painted, it'll need painted)
$40 for the plenum
$30 for the runners as they sit. I'll get rid of all dents for $50
$30 for the throttle body

So, for $160 you get it how it sits and for $200 you get it how it should be and I do the work which would probably take me a weekend to get done maybe a little longer depending on my schedule. And I might have all the hardware to put it together or most of it but I'd probably have to dig to find it all.

I wanted to polish the plenum, runners and TB so they've been sanded very lightly but I can get the finish to match by just bead blasting them again to even it out. And I'd want you to come see the base, especially since you're so close. There's A LOT of modifications done to it but also done VERY well. How the guy I bought it from modified it for Vortec heads, I don't know but it's almost flawless. I'll post a few pictures but I think you're going to want to see it first.

It's hard to tell not right next to a stock intake base. But the runner ports are slightly larger than the ports on my TPiS BigMouth base and the cylinder head side ports are huge. As you can see around the sides it has some bondo or bondo-like filler on it that I didn't discover until I stripped it of the paint that was on it. But seems to be solid and is probably just covering up where they added material for the vortec sized mounting flanges.

And this came off of a 406 small block pushing 500+ HP

To answer your question I really don't know if the part will interchange between years because I have heard and read before that the 85 sensor is a one year only part. I don't know how true that is, however.

But you're just barely too late on it. It sold this afternoon and haven't had a chance to update anything yet. Sorry.

Oh yeah, there is a huge difference. This is an OEM casting, dated 1985. It has been heavily modified to bolt to Vortec heads. Material has been added to the outer flanges to fit Vortec heads. In no way will this manifold fit standard chevy cylinder heads, center bolt or perimeter bolt. The mods are done extremely well and I, personally, can't even see seems or welds where it has been modified. So, Vortec heads or Vortec bolt pattern heads, like GM Fast Burns. 4 bolt flanges, not 6 bolt.

There are pictures in the thread above. Look closely if you are thinking of purchasing this. If you live close, feel free to arrange a time with me to come see it or if you want more pictures please ask and I can send more to you. I wouldn't want you to buy it and then it not be what you were actually looking for. I am only selling it because I am not using Vortec heads on my build. Otherwise I'd use it.

It is HEAVILY ported as well. Intake runners are larger than any aftermarket casting available.

And like I've offered everyone else who has inquired about it. I can clean it up a little bit more than it already is and I will paint it also (color of your choice) for an additional 25.

Keep in mind this is not an aftermarket base. It is a stock base modified to fit vortec heads and is also HEAVILY ported. Check out the pictures up farther in the thread and those are a pretty good representation without seeing it in person. Keep me posted. Thanks!

I personally wouldn't know all the details that went into the conversion as the converted intake I had was not done by me. I bought it from the guy who did do it. I can tell you there was a hell of a lot of material added to the intake to cylinder head flanges and this guy who did it did an amazing job, after bead blasting the entire intake I could not find a single weld seam on that intake base. Not for the amature to attempt but if you got some *****, go right ahead and dive into it but you're probably better off getting yourself an Edelbrock or Scoggin Dickey Vortec intake base for a few hundred bucks rather than hacking into a few stock bases and risking messing every single one up unless you've got skilled hands with metal forming and TIG welding. Not to mention the amount of porting you'll have to do to a stock base to even take advantage of the Vortec heads. That converted stocker I had not only had the vortec flanges but it was ported out slightly larger than a TPiS BigMouth base all the way from the runner flange to the cylinder head flange. The guy put some serious bench time into it, came out unbelievable though I believe the the Edelbrock and SD are the same casting and the SD base may not even be manufactured anymore.

Unfortunately I do not have a harness for an 85. All those 85 parts I have I acquired through other deals so nothing was really complete. Sorry man. Good luck in the hunt. I had a hell of a time finding a speed density harness for my build. Keep at it and don't settle for someone ripping you off by way overpricing something.
