Car: 83 Trans Am / 96 Jeep XJ
Engine: 355 / 4.0 I6
Transmission: TH350 / Auto
Axle/Gears: 3.23 10-bolt / 4wd
357 SBC Vortec heads, WC T5 Transmission

Selling off my camaros' current engine/tranny configuration in order to fund/make room for an LT1 swap.

Here is what the engine consists of:

87+ Roller 2 bolt main 5.7l small block chevy
Overbored .040
Flat top speed pro pistons
Speed pro piston rings
Speed pro bearings
GM PM rods
High volume oil pump
Hardened oil pump rod with steel collar
Double roller timing chain
Roller lifters
Factory rockers
Vortec 906 reconditioned heads (2.02/1.60 valves installed)
Factory (stock) camshaft
Edelbrock performer vortec intake manifold
Edelbrock 1406 600cfm carburetor w/ electric choke
.750" Carburetor adapter/spacer
MSD Streetfire Vacuum advance distributor (Almost NO miles)
MSD Streetfire Spark plug wires with heat collars (Almost NO miles)
Edelbrock shorty headers and y-pipe (Emissions legal!)
2 year old starter

The engine has MAYBE 300 miles on it since being built. I brought the block/rods/pistons/cam bearings/freeze plugs to the machine shop to have them put in the freeze plugs and cam bearings. They also honed and matched the cylinders to the pistons, installed the rods to the pistons, and weightmatched and balanced the rotating assembly. I purchased the 906 Vortec heads from the same machine shop, and they had been reconditioned with larger valves installed. Also had the crank polished. The motor has some stumbling issues and has small backfires, I never had the engine tuned professionally, I did the best I could. It will run all day without any issues, but will need the timing/carb/valves set properly if sold whole.

Also selling my transmission and most parts associated with it:

88 World class T5 transmission, Goes through all gears flawlessly, no noise. It has the typical "grinding" in reverse if you dont put it in 1st gear before backing up, but every T5 I have ever driven has done this.

Newer (~400 miles or under) Zoom clutch/pressure plate. Also have a new flexplate that I bought from NAPA, and it has the same mileage on it. If I cannot use my current slave/master cylinder with a t56, than those parts are also brand new and will be included.

Other parts that I have for sale:
Mallory 4309 Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Full serpentine setup, new alternator (400 miles), new AC/Delete pulley, power steering pump, water pump, tensioner, no smog.

I am not going to part the motor out. I can however sell some parts seperately, obviously I will sell the tranny seperate from the motor, but the clutch/flexplate will go with the transmission. I can sell headers and the y seperately as well, and most of the top-end of the motor seperate, too. I would also be very interested in trading some parts for LT1 swap parts if it comes up.

I would GREATLY prefer that larger items be picked up locally, as I have never shipped something as large and heavy as an engine or transmission.

WHOLE motor (Carb, intake, distributor, wires, headers, accessories, etc.) for only $1400 obo (I have ALOT more than that in it!)

Transmission with clutch, pressure plate, fork, throwout bearing, bellhousing, flexplate, and whatever else is attached for only $350 obo

Not sure what to ask for anything else, so please make an offer!

I can get pics of anything, so just ask.

Thanks!

Took a few pics.

Under a valve cover, shows how little mileage is on the motor, NO buildup AT ALL!

Well, I think the headers on this motor will fit an LT1, so they're not available anymore, but everything else is.

Sorry its sold.

All accessories and brackets $150+shipping.

Travrock:
They're heavy, so I am not exactly sure what that would total to. If your still interested, let me know and I will try to get an accurate quote.

Thanks.
