Re: wanted sbc roller mechanical camshaft/lifters
hey snowboard.....i have a brand new lloyd elliot solid roller cam for sale on the board under "3rd gen blowout sale". my buddy is selling it for me.....duration is 255/263 and lift is 626/626 on a 114 LSA. it's a small base circle cam i was going to put in my 434 smallblock but went a different route. i know you said you wanted to stay at .600 or below but i just thought you might be interested in it. let me know or let my buddy who posted it up know. the cam is located in virginia. by the way it's for a non roller block like you said you needed.

i might be interested im building a 350 sbc bored .40 over with 1964 to 1966 2.02 double hump heads but would i have any clearance issues with that high of a lift cam? cause i dont really want to spend the money to blue print my engine and is that a good name camshaft or is it some thing thats a little bit cheaper and how much would you want for it and do you have any lifters to include with it?

Re: wanted sbc roller mechanical camshaft/lifters
you should have no clearence issues if you do it right. you will need at least 11 to 11.5 comp. ratio, scew in rocker studs, valve springs, guide plates, and the right pushrods and you should have no problems. i'm not sure if your heads will flow the numbers needed for this cam to work correctly. i'm guessing you have an engine builder doing the machine work...ask him if this cam will work for your setup and see what he says.
lloyd elliot is a very reputable cam designer...from what i'm told he's one of the best. talk to your engine guy and let me know. i think my buddy has it posted for $260 shipped. the cam was $320 when i bought it new. no lifters just the cam.

Re: wanted sbc roller mechanical camshaft/lifters
I have a set of Crane solid roller lifters I bought used off a member of the Corvette Forum who was upgrading to offsett lifters. I never got a chance to use them, as I changed to a later block.
Still have them, been sitting in oil since I bought them three years ago.
I'll sell them for $100 plus the ride (I paid $150).

I'll see if I got a working camera and post up some pix. They're used but show no wear makes. They guy I got them from was pretty reputable (he wouldn't sell me worn out junk).

Re: wanted sbc roller mechanical camshaft/lifters
roller lifters do not wear to the cam and the cam dosent wear either. they are billett steel wich is why with most u have to use a bronze dist gear. they only way a cam is gona wear is u break a roller.
