used stock 350 TPI ECM chip from 87 firebird, replaced it with moates tuning stuff for 383 combo, worked fine before replacing. A must if your swapping a 350TPI in from a 305.

From what i know the 165 ECM (MAF ECM) is the same from 85-89 then they discontinued the cold start injector, otherwise the ECM is the same except for the VATS system (vehicle anti theft system) the only difference between the 305 and the 350 is the "tune" and the injector sizing. The tunes are totally different, i know bc i looked at the stock tunes with my moates hardware, the MAF tables are different due to different displacements, different timing due to different cams, injector size is different (305 has 19lb injectors and 350s have 22lb injectors) so basically throwing in a 350 in the place of a 305 wont work, dont get me wrong it will run, but it will run PIG rich and run like poo. If your car was originally a MAF car before 89, and you had a 305 and swapped in a 350 (including 350 injectors) then the chip should fix your issue.
