V6 Plenum Spacers For Sale!

1/2 inch and 1 inch 6061 billet aluminum plenum spacers for sale. These straighten the airflow as it transitions from the upper to middle plenum. The kit comes with the spacers and also the throttle cable mounting spacer to keep the bracket located correctly. Help make that V6 breath a little easier and may also help engine response and acceleration.

They come raw, so you can anodize, powdercoat or polish to your specs- I polished mine up in a few minutes with 360/2000 wet and dry progressively. Only need the outer edges polished after all, then 15 minutes to install!

I've been following this since you posted your first thread and this is really cool. I love to experiment but ... do you have any quantitative numbers to share. I know you have the seat of the pants-o-meter but just curious about something more objective. Thanks.

Re: V6 Plenum Spacers For Sale!

Haven't had the time yet. I did it just because I had an 'ah ha!' moment... I had bought some chromed plenum bolts that looked really cool with my polished intake, but turned out to be too long- by 1/2 an inch. I thought 'pity the plenum isn't 1/2 inch taller- WAIT A MINUTE!'
That is where I came up with the initial idea and I realized that it would help the airflow too... I am trying to find someone local with a flow bench.

I don't know- is it? I tell you what, since I am new at this- you tell me what you would pay for them and I will see if it justifies my time and effort...

Let's see... My local auto dealer charges $117 / hr labor so the 1" spacer goes for slightly more than a hours worth of labor not including materials, set-up time, overheads and a fair profit ( which presumes we are still operating according to the principles of a capitalist-based system). It's 2011 so I've got to correct back to my reference point of 1967 and roughly I'd have to pay about 14 1967 dollars for this item ( $137 / 10). So, yeah, it seems at first blush a fair price for the early adopters to pay and should it work well many others will want / need one and the sales volume will go up and the price will come down.

I would like to know if anyone has tried these out and has any "proof" that they make a difference.
