400 SB Chevy (bored 30 over 406 CID ), 4 bolt main, std crank, LT1 Pink rods, TRW Forged pistons, Clevite/Michigan 77 bearings, ARP Bolts, Summit Sportsman Dart II iron cylinder heads - 69 cc chamber - 200 cc runners - 3 angle valve - 2.02 intake 1.6 exhaust valves - Felpro Gaskets - Comp valve springs - Manly screw in studs & Guide Plates - Competition Push Rods and Roller Tip Rockers 1.6 intake 1.52 exhaust w/ adjustable locking nuts - Zoom roller timing chain with cam locking bolts - Crane Camshaft 278 - 292 split pattern - 114 degree center line, Roads Variable Duration Lifters, Melling High Volume Oil Pump, Brass Works Water pump, STD Balancer, Torker II manifold (port match heads) high flow thermostat w/ chrome neck, HIE Distributor - High energy output - Crane adjustable vacuum advance - Re curved weights - New sending unit - Accel Cap & Rotor , 780 Holley Carburetor (rebuilt for competition) : 50 cc Accelerator pump adjustable - Secondary adjustment kit - Electric choke - High Flow Needle Seat - Pressure gauge - Adjustable Fuel jetting, High Moroso chrome valve covers and low clearance Moroso air cleaner w/ K&N filter, 90 Amp Alternator, Compete Serpentine Pulleys belted. Ready for TURN KEY. Also provide professionally built dolly for your convenience.
The design of this motor is to incorporate drive ability. It easily idles @ 600 rpm with no noticeable cam loop, very quietly with 10.75:1 compression ratio. Meant to run on 93 octane can run lower. No problem to get 34 degree timing. CAN YOU SAY 11 sec. SLEEPER. Lots and Lots bottom rpm band with noticeable 435+ HP upper end. Has much more potential for even more horsepower. Ran for about 5k miles with 2500 stall converter. For someone looking to put in the ultimate light to light street machine and still cut 11 sec quarters under a budget. Will run 11 sec on slicks. - Total 7000k will cost more if you want forged parts and carb accessories. Provide to you at less then one third the cost. No hassle configuring pullies.... $2200

Sounds like a good deal... but with that much compression and iron heads. Im suprised you could get any timing into it on pump gas.

You're absolutly right, with the 114 lobe separation camshaft in there, it now making too much cylinder pressure down low which couls cause pre ignition a.k.a. ping & detonation! Sounds like a great deal, good luck moving it.

thats why you have timing and fuel curves..................
look at most of the newer vehicles on the road today............
all running at this compression..............
