LB9 5.0 305 TPI Engine or Part out (SOLD)

I am going to buy a 350 short block bored 0.30 over and build a 383 stroker for my '87 IROC... This is the original engine out of a G92 package 1987 manual T-5 IROC-Z.

The good:

Only 82,000 miles on the body and engine. Engine was rebuilt somewhere along the line. Has a mild cam in it. Orange valve covers and rocker arm installation guide I found in the box original owner gave me suggest it was rebuilt.

Alternator only has 500 miles on it (you can tell it looks way newer in the picture).

The Bad:

Making a slight clicking noise from what sounds like the rear of the engine near the bottom. Car idles at very low RPMs and I can't figure out if it's something internal or a sensor problem, but the clicking noise suggests something internal.

Ran great for me for over 3,000 miles since I bought it but rather than rebuild this I am going to go the 383 stroker route. I want more power.

This would be perfect for someone who wants to stay all original and needs a 305 TPI in solid condition.

Whole thing $700 shipped or I'll part it out and we'll discuss price from there for individual parts.

Picture below...

Re: LB9 5.0 305 TPI Engine or Part out

***UPDATE***

Motor will be swapped out in the next year or two depending on my budget and other factors, ect...

LB9 305 TPI with mild cam will come with everything including engine/wiring harness and ECM.

Rebuilt T5 transmission

Both will come as package $1,700 shipped within the continental US. All paperwork provided for the engine work and rebuild of the trans. Message me and I will keep you on a list for when it's time...
