Another member pointed out their add, Rebel Performance, on EBay. That is an incredible price. I've seen them for sale on Summit for about $400. Maybe they have a bunch of them that they are trying to unload.

Now for runners........what to buy?

 

I almost jumped on that until I realized it is for Center Bolt heads which sadly I do not have.

 

I'm pretty sure the intake will work for both center bolt and perimeter bolt heads, but double check before purchasing.

 

This is what scares me in the thought that it might not work for me.

They have the 3860 and 3861 listed separately as center bolt vs aftermarket/early model heads.

 

I think the bolt angles are different from the centerbolt to the non centerbolt style heads....

 

I just got one of these from their website here for 169.99 shipped. I called and the guy told me they were with the Accel DFI kit that they no longer sale. Edeldbrock did not want them back so he bought them...as scrap! Thanks to OP for posting this, what a killer deal!

Got mine today. Looks like they are $190 now on Ebay. The four middle bolt holes are slotted for both intake bolt angles.

Look at the guys feed back.Lots of negative reviews.These could be seconds or blems.

 

Also these intakes center 2 holes are drilled and milled for both types of heads.
Vortec heads are another animal.

 

Hmmm, thats strange. He told me that mine was delayed because he waited for it from the manufacturer....
Got it now, bu havent installed yet.

A couple of issues..
The runner ports were not well machined. Only 38-39mm, slightly conical.
These are supposed to be 40-41mm i believe.
The 2 middle holes for the intake to head bolts, are drilled for 2 different angles, which is fine, but its also machined for 4 included washers. The washers are 0,1-0,2mm to large to fit...

Easy to fix issues but I hope I dont discover worse things when installing....
AND, I dont like the different stories...

 

I had one of these and they fit both style heads.

 

Did anyone install one of these manifolds from Rebel Preformance?
Any problems or worked ok?

 

I installed one on my '88 Iroc, all machining was perfect and square and I had no problems with installing it. As far as performance I noticed a little better throttle response and get up and go. As someone mentioned earlier they are drilled for pre '87 and later type heads. Overall happy customer no complaints.

 

Irocan88, do Youremember if Yours had a splash shield underneath, or did You have to transfer it from the old baseplate? Reason for asking is that mine got installed last summer, but the old intake still has its splash guard.(was going to clean it when I noticed). If I remember right the Edelbrock had one, even if the instructions say otherwise....

 

Oh boy, I can't remember for the life of me if it came with one or if I had to transfer mine over. I'm almost certain that I did transfer my old one over however. Hope it helps you out, are you having issues with it?

 

Well I cant remember either, and mine was from Rebel Performance too. No issues and the car has been driven maybe 600-700 miles since installation. Im just hoping there will be no issues later on....BUT I actually think there was a new splash guard installed. Not sure and its been a while, but I think so.
It seems some people got intakes with the splash guard installed, some without...
Never mind, I had so many issues with my Trans Am, maybe thats why I get worried easily Still love the car though, and it gets some new parts/upgrades every spring
