T5 Clutch pedal assembly

Good condition pedals, the pads on them are like new. Looking to get $100 plus shipping, located in CT. Also have a shift plate for those looking to do a 5 speed conversion

Re: T5 Clutch pedal assembly

It would appear you've already sold it, but if not...

would that work to replace the squeaking/creaking/groaning Pedal Assembly in my 1983 Camaro Sport Coupe LG-4, 5-Liter V8, 305cid, 5-Speed Manual?

Thanks!

Yes I sold them. I would recommend that you just try lubricating yours with some WD-40 first before replacement however

Re: T5 Clutch pedal assembly

If it only makes that noise when using the clutch and not the brake, I would suggest replacing your clutch master cylinder. When those go bad, sometimes there is a squeak-like noise that you hear when you depress the clutch pedal.

Re: T5 Clutch pedal assembly

Thanks for your reply.
The clutch on this'83 has been nothing but trouble since I purchased it back in January of 1983 (yes, I'm the original owner). This is about the third Z-bar/Bellcrank and fourth clutch over the years (maybe the fifth, I've lost count). I had the most recent clutch installed in September of 2015 and it has never worked at optimum (some occasional gear grinding). "Clutch Guy" says it cannot be adjusted properly because of the pedal assembly. That, along with the pedal being hard to press and the creaking and groaning has led me to research a replacement.

Yes, he did oil/grease it, but to no avail.

I'm hoping a pedal assembly replacement will be the fix.

You can hear the noise as I depress the clutch in this YouTube video I posted at the time of the latest clutch install. I made the video on the topic of squealing noise related to the clutch release/throwout bearing (since been resolved).

A problem you might face is your car I think has the mechanical clutch, this one I sold was hydraulic so you would have to change a lot to make it work
