Re: Edelbrock TPI intake

What's the difference between this one and the Scoggin Dickies Intake, Can this be used with Vortec heads?
Thanks

Re: Edelbrock TPI intake

No it does not work with Vortec. This is a 3860. I think 3861 works with Vortec heads.

Accel, Edelbrock, and TPIS were all the same basic casting. I would assume the Edelbrock Vortec casting and SD casting were the same.

Re: Edelbrock TPI intake

i’m no expert, but i think the 3860 will work with vortex heads. head bolts are angled and the 3860 has that provision. as far as sd intake same as edlebrock, no idea, but never heard that

3817 is the Vortec baseplate from Edelbrock.

Re: Edelbrock TPI intake

The Vortec intake bolt pattern is different as well, and I think the intake port is different on those heads.
But YMMV
