as far as castings, the original avcel bases were casted by buddy bar, later edelbrock picked it up, think edelbrock high flow, tpis big mouth, and the later accel. Those are all the same casting

 

Is there a benefit to having the Buddy Bar Casted manifold over the later Edelbrock?
