10 gallon bucket of Rogaine gone, had to grow hair to pull out. love these little brown bag enginiers dream/nightmare. I still blame DeLorean and his dang cocaine cowboys..... long story short, looking for either of these. memcals. Its for my Fraulein, an
87 gta, Lb9, m39?, 5spd, 3.43 gears I do believe
preferably old/used oe stock. But want in one hand and stuff in the other and see which fills 1st.... my gpaw would say.
or just help in finding my next direction. i damaged the stock, not totally destroyed, i just bent,jacked up the little boobie-trapped prngs removing a jetperformance stg1 chip. The jet performance chip is fine, ill gladly sell/trade/whatever it to anyone who wants it. I'm not here to advertise for it or slam it. It's just not Fraulein approved apparently, so it's gotta go. She's less than a year old to me so I'm new in this world. Came out of gen 2, 77w72 into this one. 137k on body but 9500 on rebuilt motor, transmission, clutch, brakes, ac, suspension. 3ring binder of factory service manual and recipients. 1st owner had till 72k and had a black book with date, milage, milage since last fill up, gallons put in...heck I bet there's weather condition mentioned in there somewhere. So she's a beautiful bird, and red headed from the core to the paint, I tell ya.

Are you wanting a piggyback adapter or replacement used memcal ?

 

I have memcals and piggyback adapters if memcal is usable. Can do a burn of any of these codes.

 

From the bbc print out I have, the only other memcal compatible is the acxz. There's others close, but different gear ratios or some other small differences.
but here's my latest stumper-
I took off jetperformance and put memcal back in as "stock" and sel light came on instantly (battery was disconnected) and i could not ground a&b terms to put in service mode. 3 different ecms and same on all. 1500 rpm, could not idle down. Backed screw all the way out, to not touching. Dropped only when ac turned on. Down to 1200. Throttle response was great, none of my previous issues were present.
put jetperformance back in.....and I could ground aldl, sel light went off, idled around 850 fine...but My issues returned as if I never took the jetperformance off....
I can sent pics of mecal and the prong that I bent. I did take dental pic and slowly, softly, carefully tried to make it right. I just dont understand why it wouldn't go into service mode when "stock, but would when jet chip put back in....

 

The jets was a piggyback and you still have a memcal ? Not even a code 41 or 51 will blink ?

 

Yes, the jets is a piggy-back. I do get a code 42, but no sel. The circuit isn't grounded, did the flow chart, and the ignition control module is new. On the 3rd one actually. I'll be rechecking here shortly for grounded circuit

 

When I took the jets off, I couldn't even get the code12 to blink.

 

 

You could always try soldering the legs to the pins. or this is a good deal.

I found a seller and bought an ACYA n.o.s. on ebay for same price. I know that they rarely go bad, but I'm Aggie by blood. (state law- can't hold it against me) I might just snag it up to have just in case. Better to have and not need!
