fresh rebuilt 350 roller short block wanted
I am looking for a roller 350 short block that has been freshly machined. Hopefully it has had line bore checked, decks trued, torque plate hone, ie. good quality machine work. Must be within driving distance of VA. I basically only need the block and pistons (which again, if machine work was done properly, are matched for clearances). I can use a crank as well. I don't need anything else. Heads etc are definitely not wanted, I already have a set of fresh World Products heads. I have a std bore high nickel content 4 bolt 350 as a partial trade if at all interested, otherwise will pay cash.
I have a 350 4-bolt block out of a 3/4 ton chevy. It IS machined for roller lifters and center bolt heads and is sitting in my garage on an engine stand with machine work already done. It has been decked, honed, cleaned painted, new freeze plugs, etc. It has new Federal Mogul Sealed Power cam bearings installed. I also have a stock turned crank, the OEM rods, cam, etc AND
a new set of Speed Pro forged aluminum flat top pistons in the box. They are std. bore since the machine shop said that this block did not have to be bored yet. I already sold the TBI heads because it was my intention to put on Edelbrock Performer RPM heads.
I used to own two 3rd gens and I was building this engine for one of them but I sold them both and got into Jeeps a few years ago. I still check out the 3rd gen board often and I have a million 3rd gen parts left over so I thought I would see what people wanted in this forum. I have held on to this motor thinking I would put it in something but it has sat on the stand soaked in WD40 and in a plastic bag for about 4 years now so I think I could part with it even though it is a rare animal. I am in Oklahoma; not close to you, but I am wondering what shipping would cost? If you were interested let me know.
