Trying to find a V8 (for a V6 to V8 swap)
I'm looking for either a 305 or 350 to swap into my '86 'bird w/ a 2.8L(for now).
Willing to purchase a decent priced (i'm on a minimal budget) V8 that is either turn key or needs rebuild. Even lookin for blocks....350s are hard to find around here without spending alot of money (alot of drag car builders around here ****** them outta junk yards before anyone else).
Thanks for the time.

Vortec truck motors from 96 up are good motors to start with and easy to find. They have roller cams and the 1 ton and up have 4 bolt mains.

I've got a 305 TBI available. It's out of a '90 Formula that was totaled (rear ended). The motor was just replaced 2 years ago with a Proform Remanufactured 305, and the tranny was serviced as well. Very low miles on the motor.
You can have it all (including the partially parted out car) for $1,500. It still runs and drives, but cannot be driven on roads (legally).
LMK if interested. I have many pics.
