I need

I need an accelerator pedal set up for a fuel injection engine. My carb pedal does not actuate the throttle body fully now that I have converted to fuel injection.

thank you

jeff

Re: I need

I believe you need the Cable as that the Pedals are the same for Carb or Fuel Injection. I do carry Throttle Cables. They run $10.00 plus shipping and handling. If you have any questions or other needs we can be reached at (818) 700-7970.

Thank you,

Re: I need

Correct on both counts, Tom.

jj,
You only need the cable and house of camaros will fix you up. I bought my cable from them and it works great.

Re: I need

I have a brand new cable from lokar. I believe the carb pedal assy is not compatible with the tpi set up. my cable is hooked up to the throttle body and the pedal but when the pedal is fully depressed the throttle body only opens half way. So it is my belief that the pedal assy on a tpi has a different angle on the pedal arm allowing a different amount of travel of cable for the same or relatively close distance of travel of the foot portion of the pedal assy.

someone please correct me if I am wrong.

thx

Re: I need

I am here to correct you cause you are wrong. I just did this exact swap last year. You just need to get a stock tpi cable. sometimes aftermaket cables don't really work so well. My throttle was wide open when I did my swap. You need your cable to be tight to. don't have too much slack in it. That too will cause your throttle not to be wide open.

Re: I need

i tried the lokar cable for about 5 days. then i ordered a brand new factory one. this is why i haven't ordered their e-brake cables for my 4th gen rear swap.

Re: I need

yeah....with the lokar set-up, i couldn't get close to WOT. seemed like the housing wanted to flex and not support the cable.

Re: I need

I really dont want to lose the look of my engine by replacing the lokar cable for this is a show car. I guess I will have to develop something to multiply the travel with the setup I have.

thx

jeff
