ok i need every tihng to do a tpi swap.
i have a tbi 305 on a 89 formula wiht auto trans. i want to do a tbi to tpi top end swap, so ill need every tihng from fuel lines, pump, rails, intake intake runners intake manifold, fuel pressure regulator, throttle body, injectors, air lid and tubing, computer and wiring harness. preferably from same year or up. and i am unsure if i need head or not

or i would go for a 350 tpi complete motor, "l98" out of scame year or newer f-body. every tihng needed for a complete swap, comp, wiring harness, fuel pump ect.
preferably low miles and running
jsut please let me know waht u got

have everything you need to do the swap minus fuel pump you could get that at any auto parts store just did one on my 89 rs then i trashed the motor (timing to far off for too long) let me know if your interested and make me an offer

it was from an auto trans car but dont think it has a vaccum line running to it but could dont remember it was from a 305 and has the wiring harness with it just has a couple connectors cut off for the smog pump and ac but i have the connectors to reconnect if you want them will try to get pics tonight or tommorrow and email them to you i painted the setup a dark red to match close to the "dark" flame red metallic color my rs was

ok cool and so it is the tpi top end swap. ok that is cool. and this has every tihng i will need? do you by any chance have the tank fuel pump?? and why isnt the auto trans vasume lone running is it blocked or some tihng?

I have everything you need. 1987 350 TPI setup, complete intake setup, harness and computer, MAF sensor, air box with flex hose, charcoal canister, almost new in-tank electric fuel pump, metal fuel lines that run from the intake to the hose on the drivers fenderwell. I just pulled it off today(10/18). $400 plus shipping from 74021.

This also includes the TPI distributor. This is all of the TPI stuff, but not the L98 motor.

 

ok how many miles are on the motor? and can i get some pics. and waht condition is the motor in leaking and is it in good workign order.
and i am guessing sence it is an l98 it probally has the vacume line for the 700r4 4 spd tranny

 

Your 700R4 has a vaccum line????

 

I'm reusing the motor in another car, it had 130,000 miles on it. I am only selling the TPI system.

i am pretty sure. it has a vacume line i mean is it computer controlled. i can use a od-1 reader and read when the physcial clutch closes at high way speeds at low rpms so i thoguht it was a comp controlled. but when i go my 3.23 gear installed the mechanic said it was a vaccume controlled. can ya tell me so i am giving accurate info thank man

 

dont have the pump cause when i junked the car i already had the tank out like 5 times and didnt feel like dropping it again to take it out i picked mine up at advance for like 45 or 50 bucks

Due to baterry location, Firebird and Camaro engine wiring harness are different. Firebird battery is on the DS, Camaro on the PS.

 

To make your swap easier, stick with a TPI setup from a 89. 85-86 about the same. 87-88 about the same. 89 one year only. 90-92 about the same but, the wiring harness on a 90 is slightly different. Hope this helps with your swap.

 

Unless I'm having a brain-fart, the 700R4 isn't vaccume controlled, but the TH350 is.

 

The 700R4 isn't vacuum controlled, it uses a cable to signal throttle position, and I believe the ECM monitors vacuum and tells the transmission when to shift.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but thats essentially how it works.

 

I have a wrecked 1992 Z28 I have taken the interior and the motor and trans out to put in another car. The car still has the whole computer and wiring harness intacked. I do have another 305 TPI motor complete with TPI setup and everything still on the motor. I am in maryland but if u want and Ill give you the motor and you can tow the car out of here for the harness, also still has factory 10 bolt posi rear. $500 for it all let me know bertsnos150@yahoo.com Thanks Bert
