Hey all!

I'm wondering if anyone out there has a torque arm and/or crossmember for the early TH200 cars.

Surely some of you have swapped to the TH350 or TH700R4 and have these parts lying around...

Anyone??

 

the arms and crossmembers were different in 82 83 yes, but we dont remove them to put in a th350 or 700r4 or swap to a later one , we keep the 200 ones

anyways i may still have an early TQ arm laying around


what are you trying to do exactly ?

 

I'm trying to put a V8/TH200 back in a car with no crossmember and torque arm.

I have the parts and am just going to make the car go until the budget allows upgrades.

The reason I'm looking is because a TH200 doesn't have holes for a torque arm mount so I figured it must be some early design that got discontinued when GM went to a transmission that they put the holes in the tailshaft for the torque arm mount. I know the TH350 and TH200 use the same crossmember, I just don't know if somehow the torque arm mounts to the crossmember instead of the tranny or what. I haven't seen the setup and mine is missing.

 

Hey Randy, do you have a pic of the TH200 bracket mount for the torque arm?

HI, I have the correct torque arm, crossmember and driveshaft from a 82Z that had the 350 turbo, all in great shape would like a package offer. Shipping will be extra. Len

 

Do you have a picture of the front torque arm mount? That is the part that is really killing me!

What's your price on a package deal. I don't necessarily need the driveshaft if it will be shipped a long way because of the weight. I would probably pay more for freight than to get one here.

I've got some torque arms in Shelbyville IN. These are like new. They were removed from various Camaros being turned into race cars in the '80s The pix shows both styles. Sounds like you need the one at the top. Asking $50 plus s/h.

 

The torque arm for the TH200 cars are a little longer than normal, and both of yours appear to be the same length.

I am really in need of the front mount bracket for the torque arm and the crossmember.
