Re: strut tower brace

If its the Multiport Injection set up i would think the TPI strut tower brace would fit it with no problems.

Re: strut tower brace

i called edelbrock and hotchkis and they said the TPI stb won't work on an MFI because the a/c compressor is in the way...but i looked and it doesnt seem like its in the way...

Re: strut tower brace

That could be true, the V6 accessories sit farther back in the engine bay than on the V8's. You may try placing a straight edge on the inner fender whells infront of the upper strut mounts and see where it sits compared to the AC compressor.

Re: strut tower brace

Is the 2.8 MPFI the same externally as the 3.1? If so, I have a Hotchkis STB that I can try to fit on it and take pictures for you. Let me know.

Re: strut tower brace

well the compressor isnt really blocking the pass. side, but the master cylinder is basically on top of the driver side tower...has anyone built a custom stb for a v6?

Re: strut tower brace

The 2.8 and 3.1 are identical in size.

Here's a pic of mine to give you a hint at where it will sit, you mentioned the master cylinder on the drivers side but it will not hit it. The STB sits to the front side of the strut mounts on the strut towers.

I found them on Hawks website. Not sure what the Signature Series one is. Maybe its the polished one.

I used a BMR- fit fine, after my son jumped up and down on it a little to make it fit flat on the shock towers...
