I have an 89 camaro with a 5.0L TBI ("E" VIN) that is in the shop getting a new motor dropped as I am typing this. The problem is that I am missing the Smog Pump Check Valve Hose and the part is discontinued by GM.

Does anyone have one of these that they are not using that would be willing to sell it to me?

I wish I could. It looks like when I bought the car, someone had bypassed the pump so I don't have the original. All I know is that I need it because I live in an emissions area.

The hose that I need basically pushes on to the end of the air pump check valve and eventually becomes a metal tube with possibly a thread on the end. At least, that's what the shop told me.

 

I will take a look at my stash of parts and my wifes car. I will get back to you sunday

if you can get a diagram and post it i could see if i have the part. i took most of the smog stuff off the 89 i had.

 

i just stripped a 86 rs and i did save all those hoses email me at rhead007@gmail and ill send ya a pic see if its what ya need

Specifically, I need the longer hose that comes off of the smog pump check valve. I am also in need of the shorter, somewhat straight, hose that comes off of the smog pump itself.

The other thing that I am looking for is a working hatch pull down motor. Mine, as with many others, is no longer working so the hatch doesn't pull down that last inch.

I would like to find out about what you have as well as far as the engine goes to see if the smog stuff will work with mine. Since the parts are discontinued and I HAVE to have them, I am thinking that if I can get spares, that would be really helpful too.
