I have one, $75 shipped. Its from a 91 RS with Tilt, cruise, etc. Only issue it has is the hazard button broke off.

Re: need a steering column

It's going in my 88 but unless I'm mistaken they are all the same except for the ones equiped with airbags. I would rather have one with out cruise control if possible

Re: need a steering column

Well, the 89+ ones would be wired for VATS.

Re: need a steering column

Your right I did over look that. But you should still be able to use the column in any of the car because not all the cars can equiped with the VATS system from the factory?

Re: need a steering column

The biggest issue when it comes to the columns is usually the wiper function plug. There were at least 3 versions of that plug used from 82-92.The Vats is only an issue if the car needs it since it's an independant plug. If you don't need it don't plug it in !

I've got a couple "base" columns...... compatable with an 88 with no tilt, no cruise, no delay, no steering wheel, HAS key

Manual = $35 + shipping
Automatic = $30 + shipping

Hope this info helps !!

Re: need a steering column

thanks i appreciate the information. Are the electronics the difference between the various styles or are there some physical differences to the columns themselves?
