got a fully rebuilt one here ready to go. Full of goodies to last a long time. I work for aamco as a builder so you wont have a problem with it or ever getting in touch with me. I will also give a 12,000 12 month with it. p.m. if interested.

Still looking for one? Have one built prob about 4-5000 miles on it getting ready to swap to T56 asking 600 for everything from flywheel back. Live in NC.

Re: I REALLY NEED A 700 R4

i have FRESHLY rebuilt 700r4 in my 85 camaro. paid 1300 dollars for it. asking 1200. it only has approximately 500 miles on it since rebuild. The rebuild was done at one of the most reputible establishment here in my town. p.m me for more details or email me at v.nichols4@gmail.com

Re: I REALLY NEED A 700 R4

My dad and i rebuild transmissions and my father is also a certified transmission mechanic... upon reading your thread i called my father and asked him what he thought the problem might be. if you want to do some work (i'm not sure how comfortable you are with transmission work) since it's a newly rebuilt transmission you should do the following. Pull off the govenor cover and check the govenor over to make sure it is working properly (such as checking the weights to see if they're functioning properly). and if you're not sure what you're looking for you can buy a cheap transmission book all about 700r4s that will tell you all you need to know. if you're feeling really confident you could pull down the valvebody (BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL TO KEEP IT CLEAN, DIRT IN THE VALVEBODY CAR REALLY SCREW THINGS UP!) and inspect the shift valve and see if it's sticking... (ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT WHEN WORKING ON A VALVEBODY IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE NOTE OF HOW THINGS WERE ASSEMBLED AND THAT THEY GO BACK IN THE SAME ORDER!!!! IT IS A VERY GOOD IDEA TO BUY A BOOK ON THIS SO THAT IT GETS DONE RIGHT) and if you aren't going to do any of this work i'd be willing to negotiate a deal for that transmission.

700r4s suck. 2004R is what you want. that gearing in the 700 is so messed up its not even funny.
