I hope you know it doesnt have to come out of an 86 car. Any 82-92 fuel tank will fit. The later years, 90-92 will have the internal baffles to stop fuel starvation, and those are the only ones the dealer sells.

Well I know in my 87 tpi if you took a left hard on a low level of gas it would run out and you would have a big hesatation. Which by the way is for sale but I can't ship because of fuel is in it and the post office has this thing about caring explosive stuff.

See my attachment. The fuel pump sits inside that cradle. When you turn corners, the walls stop the fuel from running away from the fuel pump.Originally Posted by Jokerslye

I am working on the cage now, but I will eventually (month or several, not exactly sure) be pulling the fuel tank out of my 1992 Z28 at some point. I'm located in the Columbus, OH area. Not sure how big of a hurry you're in, but I figured I'd mention it in case you don't need it ASAP.

does anyone have an idea of what this fuel tank from the dealer costs and what is the p/n???

also i get the starvation under hard cornering, and my fuel gauge does work, a whole other issue, so thats when i get gas. anyway, why is it that i can only put like 8 or 9 gallons of fuel in the car at that time. does it really start to starve that soon or is something elso going on here? can someone shine some light on this issue? by the way what the capacity of these tanks?

easy killer. the fuel pump is less than a year old. are you talking about the short rubber hose supplied with a new fuel pump when you buy one or the o-ring for the lock ring??

I have a tank still in the car....an 86 Camaro. I live in troy, MI
