hey all, i've been given the run-around for the last few months dealing with people about an engine for my 1988 GTA and since the last "deal" failed i'm back here to if anyone has any 350s laying around for sale. i'm specifically looking for 350s coming from an 3rd gen F-body or a vortec motor from a late 90s chevy truck. i'm in NJ so preferably NJ people only since i'll be picking the engine up near you to save shipping (hey, times are tough for everyone, i know, i'm jobless too. went back to school.).

i have a short block from an 87 fromula 350 but its all apart ready to be cleaned and rebuilt, my dum *** question is how due you tell the difference when its all apart, what due i need to look for in the box of parts,

 

still have the one here for $100 that you said you were going to pick up months ago.

yes you are correct. all the engines offered are NOT what i want, thus i did not pursue them and this classified ad still exists. I'm very specific with what i want, i told people what i want in the beginning of this ad and i don't think i should buy just any engine. I don't want short blocks, TBI motors, or engines of unknown origin, displacement, or whatever.

As for your offering, yours is the first to fit my criteria. if bought i will be putting TPI on it. Questions: how many miles? does it still have a roller valvetrain (roller cam, roller lifters, etc...)? Got pictures of it? What kind of driving did you do with it (used and abused?)? out of the car? how long has it been out? Where was/is it stored? are you in NJ?

Thanks for your offering, minus the sarcasm. These forums are for helping the community not providing your "colorful" criticism. It doesn't help to sell things either.

 

should have left the engine in the car for you to hear it and drive it, sorry not worth the trouble anymore i am just going to keep it for the $450 i know its good if it was not i would have never taken it out and would have said i have a block that need to be rebuilt if interested but would have sold it before removing it,

I have a good 350 from my 88 gta.. but I am in Nc...99,000miles on it still sitting in the car. getting ready to pull it in the next few days..asking $600 for it

haven't heard back from ted about his engine, so i'm giving this another bump. someone here in jersey has got to have a 350 TPI engine to sell!

 

so if you are serious what do you want to spend? I have a complete 1991 L98 engine from a 91Z28, 90k miles, ran great, complete engine with all accessories. Still has the 700r4, ECM, and complete ECM harness available as well.

 

I have a 1989 350 TPI motor. It needs a head gasket. The motor is located on Long Island.
