I swapped the system in the above link to a carbed 350. Some of the bolt holes in the heads may or may not be there on your applicaton. You may have to drill and tap if that's the case. Some of that is covered in the various links in the aforementioned post.

Re: WTB: 88-91 Serpentine Support Bars

The GM kit makes no mention of a specific engine type. I'm unclear about what difference(s) there are between TBI and TPI and fitment, but I never considered one or the other for my swap.

TPI

alt brace goes to intake manifold
A/c compressor exhaust and kinda side of intake manifold

TBI

alt brace goes to front exhaust manifold bolt
A/c goes to exhaust manifold and front of intake near thermostat

Interesting, but apparently nothing like the kit where the braces are concerned--if I understand correctly. Should you be interested, check the link above for pics.

How about the other side? The kit only provides one brace for that side, which goes to the manifold.

Are you sure? The one on Joops 88 camaro is like that, on his 92 GTA too.

I'll have to check on my 88 but I'm fairly certain it runs like that.

For what it's worth, according to the first page of the instructions for the kit, the kit was based on TPI.

Goodnight! I couldn't believe the amount was correct, but at Pace Performance they were $20.74 per (and one is 1.5" long, the other 1.9"). I wonder if they provide Vasoline with those? Since you know the length, perhaps a trip to HomeDepot would be rewarding.

Exactly the same as my 91 TPI car.
