Alternator Turnbuckle/Adjustment Rod/Strut

I guess the part im looking for goes by a few names like "turnbuckle/adjustment rod/strut" but in the end it looks like this picture:

Basically I'm tired of messing with my tension bracket for the alternator and would like to use the adjustment rod instead, so let me know if you have one layin around that would work! thanks!

Re: Alternator Turnbuckle/Adjustment Rod/Strut

I went to mcmaster-carr and picked up just the rod ends, jam nut, and turn buckle.
The problems I ran into:
1.) With the rod ends bottomed out, I could not get the v- belt on. I suppose that could be a good thing too.
2.) The length of the turnbuckle wasn't long enough to hold the tensoin on the belt.

Going to the March multi-grove belt corrected most of these issues.

See attached pic.
