Re: Wtb 2032 cam
you do realize getting that cam requires you to do headwork... meaning at least springs retainers and screw in studs to handle the lift of that cam..duration is good dont NEED any tuning for that considering that the 2032 cam is 214/220 duration.... but getting that other cam means alot more money in the heads.....

I thought it was just the springs needed... since the screw in studs i canot afford that machine work right now and the springs ima change myself.

I'd like BOTH of you to read this article...
http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles...ade/index.html
Not sure what heads your running but just to give you an idea that NO you dont always NEED headwork...
Find the right springs that will work for your heads bro and you'll be fine...

Re: Wtb 2032 cam
stock 083 heads take a max lift of .470.... you put a .500 lift cam in there with stock springs and stock press in studs, your asking for a world of trouble..... its not recommended to use press in studs with cams in the .500 lift range.. because when you rev that engine up or get into the rpm band you have a high risk of pulling the studs right out of the head... sickrs for any decent cam swap you want better springs retainers and screw in studs.... you dont NEED screw in studs but why skimp out on something thats relatively cheap now than coming to find out the you pulled one of your studs out because you were trying to save a few bucks and now have to dish out well over a grand to fix your head or worse you engine if its bad enough... there are ways of doing things... you dont put in a cam like that and not switch over to screw in studs and proper springs.... you can do what you want but cheaping out and crossing your fingers hoping it will work is not a good idea... personally if your not going to get new springs retainers and screw in studs i would pass....

Oh ok well im just not wanting to spend over $400 on modding my heads since with that money i could put towards getting some used heads for $600 thats why i was thinking of going with the 2032 cam
