Re: vortec-carb intake, and heads
How soon do you need it?
I've got a GMPP Vortec intake and a whole carb setup. Im getting ready to part out my 350 for an engine swap and Im going EFI, but I have no pressing need to do it immediately.
So you could get everything from my Mallory 4309 to the distributor to the carb to the carb bracket... I mean... what all do you want?
The GMPP Intake I have is a Performer RPM. You can compare pictures online, they're the exact same intake, as Edelbrock makes them for GM. The GM intake costs a hell of a lot more, though. I believe it comes on some GM crate engine that has Vortec heads, which is how I got it, because the guy was putting TPI on it. Note there are TWO GMPP Vortec carb intakes, one is a regular Performer, and one is a Performer RPM. This one is the Performer RPM. I can provide as many pictures as you like of any of it if you're interested. You can tell because the performer variant is a hybrid square/spread bore, while this is a straight squarebore intake. There are other differences too, but thats the most obvious.
I've even got some fancy ARP stainless intake bolts that look quite nice...
I have the heads, but Im not sure they're 100 percent, and until they're off the car and magnafluxed and tested for straightness Im not going to sell them. They're really too heavy to ship anyway.

Not sure what it'd cost to ship all that, if you were interested, but when I added up what i thought were reasonable used values for all of that and I got just a hair under $500, but there's wiggle room there. I was planning on selling it locally, and shipping for that much stuff seems like a nightmare, but depending on various factors it could be a doable.
This is what I have:
The ARP bolts are just throw ins...
I will probably need to keep my AN fittings on the 4309, but that's negotiable. Depends on various things. I may just let them go. Im not trying to get rich off any of this, I just want a price that's fair for both parties.

Note I dont have this particular carb anymore as I had issues with it.

Thats good to hear. As long as your carb is square bore it will work. But I'll let you know when Im ready to start the teardown.
