Looking for a clean straight 82-84 V8 air cleaner lid. Center hole is sunken in like first photo, not raised like 85 and later shown in 2nd photo. I have a couple 83-84 HO air cleaners I'll be restoring over time, and one has damaged center hole. LG4 lid should work fine.
I will consider raised center lids, too, if the price is affordable. Might has well restore a lid that can be used on the '85 L69 cars, too. A good winter project.
Also, anyone familiar with chrome lids back in '83? Were they factory for a brief period? I'm guessing aftermarket from back in the day. I've seen a couple '83 L69 Z28 over the years with a lid like in the third photo. Perhaps it was a GM performance part?

I didn't realize your's was done! NOS perfect. I'd buy that. However, if others are now ahead of me in the queue that's fine, too. Drop me a PM how to pay. No rush.
And I'm still interested in your lid JRZ due to the 82-84ness. I dropped you a PM.

Yup,... NOS. I've owned it for almost 20 years. A couple folks seemed to think that I was smoking Oak Leaves due to the pricing and I just wanted to set the record straight. No one else asked to buy it so it's yours if your seriously interested.
I've GOT to get going right now,.... but will send you a PM with all the details later this afternoon. If possible, could you send me your ZIP for a shipping quote ?
Seems like a fair deal to me, but I'm also exceptionally interested in the 82 through 86 Thirdgens more so than the typical 87 through 90+ collectors. Everyone has their niche I guess. Over the long term my niche will likely be a money losing interest, while the rest will at least break even if not gain.
The nice thing about John's lid for me will be to have a new comparison for paint match. It's not high gloss, but not satin IMO. As they age in the extreme heat, such as with my 'good' clean example on my car it looks generally as satin and will not take a polish.
Back around Y2K I got that Air Cleaner lid to use with a L69 Housing I had bought. Rather than using the NOS part I put it away & got factory GM Air Cleaner Lid from an 82 350ci Chevy Truck. I had space and figured it would help with more filtering/better flow. Back then, You could get the "HO" sticker just about anywhere saying " 5.0" or "5.7" ,.............
Sometimes I really miss driving around on that engine...... That thing would set off almost every car alarm on the market while cruising thru town ! ( 280 degree cam, No Cat/3" pipe, Gear Drive, ect... )
