Hello,

I'm in need of a set of stock uncracked 187 heads for the 305 in my 88 C1500 pickup. The set on the truck may be good but I have to do a quick swap because I use the truck daily so no time to wait for the machine shop.

I live in South Jersey near the Delaware Memorial Bridge

Hello,

Yes it's a 305 TBI engine with the 187 heads. Everything leaks including valve seals so I want to redo a set and just swap them out because I can't have the truck down while I wait to get them back.

I have a set of heads that are on an 88 camaro that’s tbi where is the 187 located on the head so I can look for it

 

I saw it Gimmie a bit I’ll see if it has them

 

If you pull a valve cover you will see the numbers cast into the head usually between the rockers if there is no sludge buildup you can see it pretty easily. The last 3 numbers of the long casting number will be 187. I noticed you are in New York, I'm exit 4 off of 295 close to the Delaware Mem Bridge.

Sure just let me know when you get an eye on it. Another issue is sometimes they have cracks which is more reason no one wants them.

That’s actually closer then I thought depending on where in dutchess county it put you I should be able to look soon I know the car has sat for quite a few years

 

It's no rush the leaks have been going on for years so a few more won't kill it Lol It actually helps to keep the dust down in the driveway Haha

The first map post had the wrong zip. The Penns Grove map is correct

I'm an automotive machinist by trade and have some of my own machines for making / modifying parts so if you need anything let me know maybe we can work out a swap or something..
