Approximately 58cc and 64cc, respectively. Actual results may vary.

New, stock, the LO5 heads are about 65 cc, while your '88 LO3 is closer to 55 cc.

Have you tried any de-carbonizing? Seafoam, or ATF? Also try filing the sharp edges off your spark plugs.

Re: Head chamber cc's
i haven't tried that. its done it since i built the engine 2 years ago. i figured the compression with 68cc heads to be 9.0:1. i runs well on 89 or higher octane. i'm using rapidfire plugs.

Re: Head chamber cc's
thanks guys and sorry about posting in the wrong spot im still new to this site and just figured out how to do my own posting a couple days ago
so just wondering would you go with the heads on the 350 or swap my ones off the 305 to the 350 im working with a tight budget and im not really looking to make a 4 or 5 hundred hp car but would still like a little more power then just a stock motor
thaks for any help you could offer me.

Re: Head chamber cc's
i would use the 350 heads. compression would be to high with the 305 heads.

Re: Head chamber cc's
So you're at 9.3:1. That's not gonna cause preignition by itself. Not even with a stock LO3 cam.
