Wanted: Disc conversion combo valve spring
Hey guys,
Looking for a conversion spring to drive more pressure to my rear calipers. Anyone got McMaster PN 9435K123, or Grainger PN 1NCF2? They sell packs of 5 so I'm hoping someone out there has one kicking around. Thanks in advance.

How did you settle on that spring? It will literally double the line pressure before the rear starts to proportion. Very aggressive change.
This thread shows a bunch of part numbers and explains how it works, https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/brak...ng-torque.html

This thread mentioned several different people have tried this mod and I think its worth testing out. These springs are the less-stiff options mentioned in the thread.

Those guys don't know what they're talking about. That spring is the King Kong of all the springs.
If you read the link I gave you then you will become smarter than everybody else in that other thread. Pay special attention to posts #3 and #4.
1NCF1 is the next level above stock.
1NCF5 is the next level above that.
and 1NCF2 is gonzo.

QwkTrip,
Thank you for the link, you did an awesome job putting all that together. That is EXACTLY what I needed to read. I'll source a 1NCF1 and see how it works for me.
I did realize in my initial request I asked for a 1NCF2, when I meant a 1NCF5, whoops! Now I see why you were so adamant it was the wrong choice.
Thanks again, I'll probably just go ahead and order one since no one's replied to my wanted ad saying they have one and my prop valve is leaking, so I need to get this done relatively soon.

You're welcome.
Out of curiosity, how are you going to repair the leak? I've never seen a rebuild kit for these. If you found one I would love to know!

I looked but I couldn't find one either. I wasn't planning on doing a full rebuild, I was going to pull the plug when I do the spring and try to match up an O seal, I've got tons laying around rated for brake fluid. If the cup seal on the metering valve is what's leaking, that's a different ballgame. We'll see I guess
