Love my lt1

Hey guys check this out.
I finally got my gears broke in. I have had the car on the road for a week and running since december.
Today I finally had the chance to really get on it. from a 40 mph roll I can break the tires loose and get sideways. I'm going to have to re learn to drive I guess that spending last summer learning how to port my own heads was worth it.

Great job! I am with FiReBReTHa, I wish I had one! Did you have any plans on running it at the track to get times on it?

Yeah I plan on spending alot of time at great lakes dragway this summer. I have a few things to finish before I can pass tech though. I need to fab a battery hold down for my optima red top(it won't work with the stock hold down cuz its bigger) I also have to fix an oil leak so I don't get the track all messy. I hope to have those issues resolved in the next few weeks.
Traction will be a major problem. I hope to find someone to loan me some drag radials for a pass or two.
judging by other people with simular combos, and IF I can get traction it has the power to trap between 110-112mph. Somewhere in the 12s. I hope to be low 12s by the end of the summer.
For now it sure is a blast to drive.

Glad to hear it's running well. Depending on your heads, you can probably pull a mid 12. Traction will be a big problem, cuz stock thirdgen suspension isn't the greatest for drag. Good Luck!

I'm putting in a transgo shift kit tonight. I hope thit it will firm up my shifts so my trans will last for a few months. I plan on doing a 6 speed conversion by the end of the summer.
Marc-
do you have any more complete pics of your subframe connectors? I have seen the ones on your site but would like to see the rest of them. I am planning on building some soon. Also what kind of rear suspension are you running. I need to modify mine somehow so i can actually hook
Ricky-
You won't be dissapointed this is the best thing I have done to my car, by a long shot.

By the end of this month, I'll have some pics of the rear end and the underbody when I get my car onto a lift, till then I can't get under the car. I'll get pics soon enough, though.
